Work to Dinner
Holy flying dogs! I'm glad it's almost Friday!
My students were amused by the drawing of my best friend (he only has 3 fingers) so they took camera photos:
They like to "mock" read my books:
I teach them important life skills like how to make a heart with their hands:
I owed a fellow teacher dinner, so I took him to a Japanese restaurant tonight for rice and fish eggs in a stone bowl, oddang, egg, kimchi, etc. It was raining so, in line with the rainy day pancake tradition, we were served complimentary kimchi pancakes.
The restaurant looks deceivingly fancy. Dinner for two came to a total of man won, or $10USD.
In other news, it's the beginning of rainy season in Korea, so for the next month, I won't be able to leave the house without my umbrella:

Great Photos. Was that a picture of Kim chi pancakes that looked like an omlett with green stuff in it? Is there some reason you are fascinated with your shoes? My niece in Tulsa is also a shoe freak and takes pictures of her feet. Must be a girl thing. Love the kids in your pics. MUD
Cute shoes!!
Yes, I really like the big pics -- I can see more detail.
And WOW cheap dinner
I have a question, and pardon me if you've already clarified this:
I had a friend who taught English in Korea, and said he really didn't know Korean at all. Do you not need to know Korean to teach English? How does that work?
Hi Eva,
I love the photos. They have so much energy!! I also love your drawing of the boy and the giraffe.
I miss you.
Josh
Wonderful photos, Eva! Your students look really sweet :) You've gotta love those students who want to be there and learning. The ones who are there because they have to be there....that's another story!
Haha, good eye Mud! You're right (kimchi pancakes.)
Cool, thanks Natasha. ;o)
Still Born- If they put kids into your class and you're a native speaker, generally the kids already have a base of English knowledge. I try to enforce an 'English only' rule in the classroom (especially because i'm the conversational teacher). They can speak a bit of Korean with their Korean English teachers.
Chrissy... You've got it. I have some who try to nap class away.
oh and thanks Joshie. My doodle isn't a very flattering portrayal of you, but it's cute huh.
I really like it. I'd frame anything you gave me. I'll send you a quick sketch of you and we can compare who's a better drawer. I think you'll win ;)
