Visiting a Korean Heater-Factory, or something like that.
PS - My George M. Cohen review is up.
(Above) Waiting outside my apartment in the drizzling rain. Hero had to drop his parents off in another city, an hour away. His Mother was a sweet woman. We ate kimbap in the backseat, and tried our best to communicate. When we arrived, his Dad insisted I tour their factory:The finished products:
After being served grapes on one of the display beds, Hero and I said goodbye to his parents and set back to Suwon for dinner, a walk, norebang, and a dose of second hand smoke:Move star? Singer? Member of the Korean Mafia? Oh, all of the above. O.K.
Arriving at South Gate, Suwon:
Hwaseong Fortress provides nice views of the cityscape.
Hero had an incredible voice (Korean and English ballads, pop songs to rap), but lately kareoke just gives me a headache.
... Goodnight.

LOL! They must have thought you were really interested in the factory, walking around with your camera.
My girlfriend just informed me that Hero is cute. So I assume your Montreal boyfriend must be a secure guy to be alright with your hanging out with him. Which is good.
Hero looks quite good looking with those shades.
hehe I can hear your enthusiasm in this post.
Hey Eva:
I know I haven't commented and had been MIA.... Long story, which I will post. Ugh. I feel like I have no time.
Anyways, dood, what's up with talking to strangers?! I read that and I was like, DAY-um. My mom keeps telling me stories of ladies who get kidnapped and killed. Especially in that area. Just be careful!
But on a brighter note, good to see that you're having a good time. Cheers! - Jane
Helena - haha , something like that.
Peter- is your girlfriend caucasian or Korean?
My "Montreal boyfriend" knows that we are soul mates. We have ridiculous chemistry after 4 years: fits of laughter, nobody else in the room, you make me want to be a better person chemistry.
We like the same activities, movies and books and people and weather and food and ... we get each other. We never run out of things to talk about. A cute boy isn't going to scare him.
And Tae Hun is way cuter than that kid, anyway, in my opinion!
Natasha- it was a crumby night! His English was pretty bad, he smoked the whole time, he didn't talk to me at dinner because he was afraid the people at surrounding tables would find out his English sucks. He was totally into people staring at us though, like he was a stud for having a foreign girl friend.
And he was full of himself. Also, he asked if he could come in at the end of the night! I was like, you've got to be kidding me right? I don't even know you!
And meeting his parents? It was so strange ... his Mom doting on me and serving us grapes on one of the display beds. Weird. His Father seemed to want me to know that they had money.
And he had bought that outfit brand new for the day!
Jane- Hey !! How have you been?
Yes, her boyfriend is quite secure because after 4 years he still is in such a "honeymoon glow" over being with Eva. While it's tough having her so far away for so long, it just confirms every day how lucky I am to have her.
but it still makes me jealous when I see random men laughing beside her. I wonder what Eva must have said to get that laugh. I think to myself: " I bet she said something really cute and clever and smelling like orange peels," and then I realize that the boy probably didn't even understand her and I feel better ;)
aww <3 Josh. hahaha.
haha you guys are too cute.
My goodness... that guy is something else eh? Weird indeed!
I guess you won't be seeing much of HIM anymore.
Being a young kid, I think that guy was trying to whoo by all flash. However, the ladies with half a brain need that flash to be accompanied by some thunder to know of the storm has any bite to it.
edward -- they call me Mister Metaphor but you just created a whole crackling world.
Edward, that, my friend, was awesome!!!
Eva, that guy is what we call, "new money" (or at least, that what my parents call them) Plus I love the way the dad wanted to show of his goodies; they must have been really hard off back in the 60's. And, from the pictures, you can tell Hero's a blowhard. Is that his English name? Sheesh, Koreans and their desire to have English names.
I've been ok, just busy, but I have so many stories to tell! Like how I got into a major car accident and how I started yelling at the guy in English that I think he thought he was going to jail in the States. Hee.
Ah, "Hero" must be the same guy who drove Eva home from that place.
ps: If Hero had a blog, there'd probably be an entry about his night with Gwyneth Paltrow's lil sister. :)
Haha, no, Hero isn't his actual English name. I just call him that, I figure he's approve.
I thought of another irksome thing! I absentmindedly picked up his lighter in the car, on the way back to suwon, and he said, "you no smoke right !? I no like smoking girls." Then he asked me to light up his cigarette.
I have never even tried smoking, but I wished i could blow some smoke in his face.
Anonymous! What did I do to earn your flattery.
Thanks guys. I had once wanted to write novels, but my desire to wanna pay the bills got me into banking instead.... :(
spend your free time over a typewriter.
hah! so we live opposite to each other as i live in the building on the first picture. :)
