Can anyone decipher this e-mail from the guy who drove me back to Suwon? (See "hitchhiking" post.) After I go article-hunting in Seoul tomorrow, he's meeting me for dinner. Yikes. Think we'll be able to communicate?

To: "Eva Mckinnon" evakarrin@hotmail.com

Subject: [RE]RE: Hey

It meets from the suwon
It sees at the next afternoon 6:00
You house in the future it will go? When only does not if not, from?
The Seller phone is not having still?

Take your best shot! Translate his English for me.

Now my Konglish is a little rusty after five years, but I reckon that translates as:

I'll see you tomorrow at 6pm.
Are you leaving from home? (Maybe he's offering to pick you up)
Do you still not have a mobile(cellular) phone?

I bet he translated it using BabelFish or something.
"Meet at Suwon (in korean)" is translated to "It meets from the water source" by BabelFish korean to english translation. It's bad for lacking roundtrip-safe reverse translation. :)

Yeah, I'm thinking he's using an automatic translator. I'd probably do better with an actual Korean email!

Oh! I think "You house in the future it will go?" means he wants to pick you up in front of your house. 앞에 means in front of, but it can also mean in the future. That makes sense.

Let's meet in Suwon.
I'll see you tomorrow at 6pm.

Is your house okay? If not, where would you like to meet?

Are you still having trouble with your cell phone???
