No Woman No Cry.

Seoul Live Music

I went to Seoul tonight. I caught bus 7001 at the stop near the Ajou University Dunkin Donuts. The bus is a coach and costs approximately 1,500 WON one way (less than 2 USD.)

40 minutes later I was in Seoul. Min met me and we rode the subway to Hongik Uni. If you want streets spilling with young people, cheap beer and live music, it's the place to go.

We went to the bar he took his Japanese girlfriend when she visited. It was perfect; it had the atmosphere of a Montreal poetry reading, with Asian vocalists singing funk, and covers like Bob Marley's "No Woman No Cry." The place was called, Free Bird.

Hey Eva,
Sounds like you had a good time. I've been trying to find bars like that for a while. I like live music more than dance clubs. Did you take the 7001 back to Suwon? I wonder if those buses run any later than the subway. I'm always cutting my night short so I can get back home!

Hey! When you take the 7000 or 7001 bus, get off at the last stop in Seoul. To return to Suwon, I caught the bus from the same place- just the other side of the street, obviously.

The last bus from Seoul to Suwon left at MIDNIGHT. By that time, it was too late to take the subway. I'm never going to take the subway to Seoul anymore. Bus = gooood

P.S: The music + atmosphere was amazing at that place, but Min said the music wasn't as good the last time he went. Maybe Saturdays are lucky. There are tons of other live music dives nearby.

I am glad to hear that you had fun, but the name of the subway station is Hongik Univ not Hansung.
