Stumped for a new activity?
Have your students write a story! My younger ones don't know 'noun', 'adjective', 'verb' vocabulary so a true madlib is out of the question, but you can write the story along with them, and ask them to come up with the key details.
Justin's story is about a small dog who likes to "play computer games" and is very good at "sleeping." The dog is sad because he lost his "special clay", and when he looks for it, all he finds is an "alligator!" OH NO! The alligator has... "laser eyes" and a "laser sword!" (Yeah ;)
Here's the author, under cover:

I'm going to bed thinking about you. Let's write children stories together and become connaiseurs of exotic junk foods.
I miss you like...baby...
Hahaha... hello Josh.
