One gets familiar and attached to areas quickly. a person gets accustomed to sights, sounds, places and people...and things like that telephone pole with the transformers. but it always stays with you... and you do have a good record of your stay in that apt. on this blog.
How are you feeling about your time in Suwon being almost up? Would you ever consider returning? One of my friends worked in Suwon a few years ago (for two years) and then returned to Montreal last year...only to return to Suwon again.
What are your plans for after you leave?
I just love, love, love your blog and hope that you keep blogging even after your time in Suwon has come to a close. Your photographs are breathtaking. You are so talented!
Eva, you're leaving! Ditto on Helen's question of whether you feel sad or not. And I agree with Helen: *such* mixed feelings, especially since I have family here and made such good friends.
Whatever you decide to do, keep in touch. I hope you continue to blog after this!

p.s. I'm glad you liked my mom's painting! My biased opinion is that she's awfully talented
p.p.s. I meant to comment below, but eh, I'll do it here: Ask them if the USD 500 is per family, which would then make sense to me. If not, who *are* your friends, why are they not *my* friends and when are they coming to my wedding? That USD 500 would come in mighty handily..... =)
I like change. I'm excited about starting school in Montreal, about Hong Kong, etc.
I will be back to visit my Korean friends and hopefully they can come see me too.
But I'm in a daze now, distracted by certain things.
it won't hit me until I'm about to board the plane. Maybe I'll be bawling and blurting out things like, "kim-chi," "norebannng," "campus coupllleess," "pc bangs," "Noooooooo...." (my hands pressed up to the window like I'm in a bad romance movie.
