Thanks for food pics! Not sure what the yellow soup was though. When I was there, they did this cool thing with watermelons. They'd cut into it so you can remove a wedge from it. It actually worked like a cork on a wine bottle so you can put it back in. No more tapping on watermelons to see if they're ripe and good to eat!

I've yet to find a traditional night market. I've just arrived in Yeongtong in Suwon, and probably need to do more walking and less lesson planning, etc. Whereabouts is this market located?

There are tons of small markets in Suwon. Walk around and you'll probably trip over one.
This small one is located near Ajou University... 10,15 mins. south west, but I'd check out the market at SOUTH GATE in Suwon; it's the largest. Take a bus that goes to Paldemun (sp.?)
